About Lesley 

Lesley began her musical education at the Nottinghamshire County Music School where she studied horn, piano and music theory.

She then went on to Trinity College of Music, London where she studied horn under John Burden (former principal horn of the London Symphony Orchestra) and John Pigneguy (former member of the Nash Ensemble). She earned her music teaching diploma in 1986 and her undergraduate degree (Hons) in 1987.

At college Lesley studied piano with Lettice Stuart and then most recently in Nottingham with Franz Johnston  (2016-2018). 

Her most recent horn tuition was with Naomi Atherton, Principle Horn of Manchester Camarata from 2018-2022. She earned her ABRSM performance diploma (horn) in 2021.

She has been teaching piano, french horn and music theory lessons in Nottingham since 2016.

As well as teaching, Lesley now plays in a number of orchestras in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

Lesley is a member of the Independent Society of Musicians and she holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
